Another thing I should have thought of...

I get a kick out of this."

Wednesday, November 29, 2006

For some reason something I read today struck a cord...

"Every night I work on it. Every day, I dream about it. With every passing minute, every passing day I am closer and closer to seeing it. I have no date, no idea of when that day shall come but that does not stop me from envisioning it."

The waiting game...

At this point tonight Tracy and I are still playing the waiting game. It is quite tasking at times to rethink all your preparations to realize that you have indeed prepared yourself... to be what is probably unprepared when the moment arrives. With no idea what to expect, continuous excitement with the edge of nervousness we wait—all while knowing it is not up to us when our little guy will enter this world, but that is why we let our faith handle that. It will be funny to look back at this post after the moment has passed... but as for right now I am naive.

Still waiting... working, sleeping, waiting...

I am Alive...

Believe it or not running a business, and preparing for a baby can make you very busy! I know that is no excuse—and I promise to gather more insight on this and that in the near future. I should also let you know that you can also view what else is going on inour lives at

After hitting the Baseball Hall of fame in Cooperstown NY which by the way is a great secluded town, we made it to Boston Saturday nite. We stayed out of town and took the "T" into downtown. Boston is a great city, very walkable and the people are very nice. We saw a lot of history from the "Red line", did a little shopping, a little drinking (well I did) and ate way too much, especially on the North End (Itallin community)... great pasta, great cannolis.

We wake up a little sore from all the walking but ready to head into Maine... we highy recommend Boston if you are out this way.

Made it to Rochester, NY

After a marathon on the road, and a brief stop In Niagra falls we made it to stop one on our vacation. Today was more about "getting there" rather than seeing the sites. Tomorrow we head thru NY and into VT, so we look forward to that. We would have some pictures to share but the usb cord for the camera is in the car... and well you'll just have to wait. So far it has been a blast, its jsut great being together and enjoying each other with no deadlines, schedules, or personal/ home projects calling us.

I can also tell Tracy is starting to really relax... After a discussion about metric vs US (english) (driving through canada spurred this) she told me that she is pretty certain that Celcius measurment of temperature was invented after ice...

That Buffalo should be pronounced Baafalo...

and that your stomach feels really full when there is a baby in it... which is something I would never have thought.

Off to dream about tomorrow... I will keep you updated when we have wireless access.

I have been holding back this post for quite some time. I basically did not want to jump the gun. But the Tigers this season are thrilling. As an adimate Tigers-fan this year is a long time coming. Long time coming.

Best team in the majors... amazing, Tracy and I are entrenched in every game, and when they are not playing or on TV we are highly disappointed. To get to the point. The Tigers are awesome, and I am riding the wave...

How does your Garden grow.

Planted a garden today with my Popps. That bastard is going to grow and grow... but hopefully not like last year. 22 tomato plants was a bit much.

an email...

My brother knows how to make a guy feel good... this is an e-mail I received from him.

Just was thinking, and crunched the numbers. On July 18, 2006 you will be exactly 27.5 yrs old, which will make you exactly 3/4 of the way between 20 & 30 (exactly 11/12 of the way between 0 and your basically 30 at that point - haha kidding). Sweet, huh.

By the you are 27.16777, which is 1/6 of the way to 28 (163/180ths of the way to 30 from when you were born).

Man, I love numbers!!!!

What I learned...

I learned that when friends come over, and say they want to buy you a drink for your birthday, it usually ends up with you blowing an egg up in the microwave.
